Directors & Officers Liability Insurance
Strategic Protection for Business Leaders in an Increasingly Litigious World
Today’s business environment is more competitive — and legally aggressive — than ever. Executives and decision-makers face growing personal exposure, with increasingly stringent legal frameworks imposing greater accountability.
To address this, we’ve designed a robust insurance solution to protect both the individual and the company, allowing directors and officers to fulfil their duties with confidence and peace of mind.
Who is it for?
Companies with an annual turnover below €100 million, not engaged in regulated financial activities.
What makes our policy unique:
A three-in-one coverage structure, designed for comprehensive protection:
Personal liability of directors, officers, managers, as well as former, retired, or deceased executives (including their estates and spouses).
Also includes claims related to structural changes such as M&A, MBOs, or subsidiary changes.
Employment practices liability, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, invasion of privacy, defamation, negligent performance evaluations, and inadequate HR policies.
Corporate entity liability, covering claims made directly against the company, rather than individuals.
Full legal defence costs, including extended limits for new claims when initial limits are exhausted by a single insured individual.
Real-Life Scenarios
🧑⚖️ An employee filed a high-value claim against a client company, alleging emotional distress caused by workplace harassment. The insurer covered all legal defence costs throughout the proceedings. The executive was ultimately acquitted, with our specialists assisting in preparing the defence at every judicial stage. Had there been a conviction, the damages would also have been covered by the policy.
💼 A group of employees filed a complaint against their managers, holding them personally liable for the company’s insolvency — which prevented the full payment of their severance entitlements. The insurer assumed all legal defence expenses. In court, the managers were cleared of liability.
